Vice President Direct to Consumer (D2C) Distribution/Sales/Marketing


Manage and overss the Direct to Consumer business across all product lines (Individual Life and Retirement), produce profitable business growth hitting on the agreed upon KPI's. Responsible for devlpoing and designing the overall sales & marketing strategy, leading the omni channel contact center; optimize tools and resources and delivery of outstanding customer experience. Develop, manage and oversee of all third party (IT, outsourcers, etc.) commercial and outsourced relationships required to execute the business strategy.


  • Achieve revenue and profit targets across all product ranges. You will have P&L accountability for direct products distributed through the direct channel and 3rd party affiliates.
  • Continuous improvement for the Direct Distribution function using strong leadership and management, engaging with key internal stakeholders and ensuring excellent customer experience.
  • Lead all new business sales for products brands and channels (online, inbound or outbound).
  • Work with the central marketing team to develop, design and deliver marketing strategy.
  • Design, delivery and management of the TOM for the contact center, innovate and deliver world class customer experience.
  • Team development through structured learning and development plans.
  • Continuouisly strive to innovate abd deliver improvements in efficiency using recognized methods such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Manage, at a strategic level, the relationships with affiliates and with outsourced solution providers and marketing agencies to ensure they are hiiting all established metrics.
  • Develop and implement a performance monitoring capability to help identify trends and performance improvement metrics.
  • Negotiate and implement commercial contracts that align with company interests and drive partnership behaviours and relationships.
  • Foster an environment that is proactive and identifies and mitigates risk through the use of the interanl group risk infrastructure.
  • Manage relationships which ensure business relationships are meeting policies and that the relationships are adhering to rules and regulation.
  • Management of expenses/budgets to agreed variances and building quarterly budgets and forecasts.


4 years bachelor's degree in Business or other relevant area



  • Deep general knowledge of the Life and Retirement Markets and emerging trends in consumer behaviors.
  • Strong understanding of the value levers that drive the commercial performance of an Insurance business.
  • Detailed understanding of direct marketing strategies, consumer segmentation and emerging trends for channel preference and switching behaviors.
  • 5+ years demonstrable experience of managing a P&L, and of sourcing, managing and providing oversight of a marketing function and commercial relationships to drive business growth.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading large complex multi product, multi-brand and multi channel dedicated Sales and or Retention contact center.
  • Commercial accountability for third party distribution and outsourced performance in the Insurance industry.
  • Evidenced delivery of material improvements in business performance through robust management of E2E value stream.
  • Extensive up to date knowledge of all regulatory requirements for a life Insurance business.
  • Evidenced delivery of material improvements in Customer Experience, Sales & Retention metrics in highly regulated environment. Through the use of recognized Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Experience of operating within and significantly influencing the strategic direction of a Direct to Customer multi-channel distribution business.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data driven program evaluations.
  • Analytical, yet decisive critical decision maker with ability to prioritize and communicate objectives and tactics necessary to achieve goals.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain positive relationships both internally and externally.
