REMOTE Recovery Claims Specialist
Job Summary

The Recovery Claims Representative is responsible for the handling of subrogation claims in compliance with established company standards and guidelines. Ideal candidate will possess basic to intermediate knowledge of subrogation, theories, statute and case law as applicable to the prosecution of subrogation claims. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review claim facts and supporting evidence on assigned claims
• Evaluate liability and conduct additional investigations, as warranted, in order to settle claims at optimal levels
• Monitor and direct file handling performed by Independent Adjusters and Subrogation Counsel
• Notify Personal Auto Underwriting when a loss is chargeable
• Maintain good relationships with agents, policyholders, and all company personnel

Qualifications and Skills

• Entry level to 10 years of insurance and/or subrogation claims experience
• Bachelor???s Degree or equivalent experience
• Possess interpersonal, analytical, and negotiation skills
• Ability to maintain awareness of industry changes by review of trade journals, case law, NASP conferences
• Knowledge of MS Office products
• Computer skills
